you aint nothing but a hound dog History
Be patient, clear and consistent. Watch and catch them in the middle of sitting and say 'sit' and gesture. It also leads to behaviors like 'rollover' and 'crawl'. You have to be geared up to repeat the same order, day in and day out, and occasionally not get the same outcome. Simultaneously, gently take both the dog's forelegs and pull toward you, issuing the voice command. With repetition comes understanding. Most times, they are not ignoring the command as much as failing to understand it.Patience and commitment is key to training any behavior. Follow those futile techniques and you'll harvest the pay back of a neurotic dog and you will be an unhappy owner. But if these are not the results you desire, be prepared to change YOUR behaviour, before you try to alter the dog's.First, take advantage of the dog's spontaneous behavior. At first, the dog will have no idea why it's being praised but it doesn't matter as with repetition the behavior will follow the command. Fortunately, almost every dog can learn 'sit' quickly. In really hard cases, kneel nd put the leash loop under one foot and slide it under the knee of the opposite leg, facing at a slight angle to the dog. When you have his attention move the treat slowly back toward the tail. Most dogs won't go own the first few times. When the behavior is complete, praise lavishly.Part of that patience means keeping your temper when you would like to lash out physically. Don't be harsh, but don't give up easily either. You want the dog to associate the position with good feelings - his and yours. It also has practical benefits. But that's reserved in the wild for only the most severe circumstances. It's easy to use physical punishment as the first route of correcting a dog's behavior. They don't associate cause and effect in the same way. Wait for a movement from standing or sitting to down. So, the dog hasn't evolved to understand why you're hitting them. Wait for the response. After several repetitions try just using a 'waving down' hand movement, palm toward the floor or ground. The Prellies
are an English beat group known for high energy performances at Beatles festivals around the world, and their appearances in Beatles TV documentaries such as the critically acclaimed Stuart Sutcliffe - The Lost Beatle(BBC) and Beatles Biggest Secrets a documentary about the Beatles in Hamburg, which premiered in England boxing Day 2004 and initially received impressive reviews until it was internationally distributed minus The Prellies soundtrack.
Named after the amphetamine Preludin taken by The Beatles to help keep them playing in Hamburg for hours on end, their repertoire consists purely of songs that The Beatles played from 1957 - 1962 during what is commonly known as the "Hamburg Years". From the outset the band have never performed any songs actually written by The Beatles, a rather curious stance for a band considered by some to be a Beatles tribute band.
This stance allowed them unexpected media exposure in 2003 when American 80's pop icon Tiffany attended one of their Cavern shows. The band were approached with a request by Tiffany to perform I Saw Her Standing There (A hit for Tiffany in 1988) alongside them, but declined on the basis that it was a Beatles song. Apparently Tiffany took this in good spirit and joined the Cavern audience dancing along to the show.
